Paul A. Bryant esq. is Melbourne’s first freelance bicycle mechanic, providing the bicycle scene with an array of specialist services, all conducted with the utmost of professionalism and attention to detail, things most bike shops overlook.

With 5+ years of industry experience, I have decided it is time to go solo and take my skills to the bike riding public in the form of Astroboyracer, a bicycle specialist with both a workshop in Collingwood and a mobile operation to offer mechanical support at races and events.

I have experience in numerous fields within the bicycle industry. I have worked as a bike shop mechanic/technician, Rockshox/Avid /SRAM technician, at Freewheel magazine as a testpilot / reviewer / proof reader / technical editor, and as a mechanic on an array of bicycle events and races, and have travelled to the World championships in Italy as the Australian XC team mechanic.

Background.

I have been involved in cycling for more than 15 years, and have a background of over 22 years with motorcycles.

I have worked on the bikes of many of our top mountain bike riders, including Nathan Rennie, Chris Kovarik, Paul Rowney, Phil Anderson, Cadel Evans, Rob Eva, Trent Lowe, Sid Taberlay, Niki Gudex, Josh Flemming, Mick Hannah, and the list goes on...

I have been an event mechanic at Wildside, Mt, Beauty Boomerang, the MTB Nationals, and various multi day cycle tours around Australia such as the Great Victorian bike ride.

Also, I have travelled O.S. as the Australian XC team mechanic for the ’05 Worlds in Lavigno, Italy.
